Eritrea backed Somalia since 2006 and risked international sanctions and isolation.

Somalias President voluntarily visited Eritrea in January before he visited any country, to seek support for Somalias unity.

And with regards to Eritrea doing it directly?

Eritrea has already mobilized its troops to the Eritrean Ethiopian border since October 2023 in case Ethiopia tries to invade Eritrea

Eritrea promotes Somali irredentism that even the NGO’s and UN publicly speak out against while sitting in somalia, Isias and the Eritrean people are our compatriots. At the time abiy was helping cheese and he was calm because Egypt was cheese’s enemy because Sisi does UAE bidding in return for bin zayed helping them overthrow mohamed morsi. Hassan has shifted the axis by complying with bin zayed’s toxic demands of controlling our ports, parts of our air, and security. In return Hassan gets Egypt as a trusted ally and Ethiopia as an enemy. For those that want to force Ethiopia away, Hassan is preferable ONLY if he meets the requirements to sustains and significantly grows our national army for means of deterrence. So far he’s lacking in this regard. Hassan seeks no ill will towards the separatist region in NW Somalia, so no one should be against this.

There are many facets when it comes to this situation but I know for certain that UAE wants Ethiopia to own Berbera port, after all they built it. While UAE might not oppose military deals with Egypt, they will likely oppose any attempt to cancel the MoU.
