I agree somewhat but the lenght of the deal is what made me angry of that decision. I would have been ok with it if the deal was for example yearly deal or for 5 years. Chinese vessels are notorious for overfishing and now they have legal protection.

Puntland does not want Centralism with one strongman calling the shots, I can't imagine Deni forcing himself on HAG, or any other clans by force, with Somalis only compromise and helping/understanding each other will get us there. Yeah I believe Deni got all the Darood votes, he is the Darood candidate. Farmaajo is ideological candidate not clan candidate.

This is why Deni and Farmaajo will end up in the last round, Hawiyo have to choose between ideology they dislike or a clan they oppose.

Also remember Raxanweyn and Dir might jump ship at any moment. Deni might not even need Hawiyo votes to win.

As you know Raxanweyn and Dir prefer Darood over Hawiyo.
