Somalia road infrastructure is apparently actually decent

I was reading this paper published in an online journal in 2024. I was actually surprised by this section that according to this African comoetivness report from 2015 that the proportion of roads we mainted was just as high as Kenya and Ethiopia and better than tanzania . And if you know anything about somalia you kneo there's been a huge boom in road buidling compared to 2015.

All this time I was under the assumption that are road infrastructure was worse than a lot of African countries but apparently this isn't true.

You were actually right basra. I did a bit more digging. Our precnetage of paved road to unpaved road is equal and even a little bit higher than our neighbors at 13% but we're compelelty blown out the water if we're taking total road network with somalia only having 21 thousand km of roads with 2100 of that being paved roads and Kenya as of 2023 had 230 thosuand km of roads with 25 thosuand of that being paved roads.
