I agree that the Geeljire tribes have caused a lot of damage and lack the skills for statecraft. If you look at pre-Siad Somalia, it was led by statesmen from the capital who weren't connected to Geeljire culture. Then Siad Barre came straight from the Geeljire community and ruined everything.

Somaliland has 30 years of democracy and Somalia had less than 10, if you include the earlier 10 as part of Somali Republic, Somaliland has 40 years of democratic rule and so it's very hard for someone to come and overturn that in one session. Even then Cirro is a product of that system and not a military man or anything else.

I'm all for warm hearted FKD. Insulting peoples qabiil is a big sin Islamically. Although Im guilty of it myself sometimes. Its a shameful practice in reality. I have very good friends in real life who are from all qabiils. When I did FKD in the past, it made me question my own moral framework. Why insult a clan when I have friends and close people from them? Somali FKD messes up your worldview and poisons your mind. Responding with facts and correct information and keeping one's demeanor is the best way to deal with unsavoury characters.
