Taiwan is the most similar situation to Somaliland. A country with a big population in a stalemate situation.

Western Sahara is an irrelevant desert territory, not so similar.
Palestine has major super power involvement and the butthurt Europeans feel sympathy for their holocaust victims, not so similar again.

Seriously, Somaliland is in a fucked up situation. The only peaceful way to get out of it is to reform the Mogadishu regime.
