In the same episode and season the Moroccans ended up with their heads in a box. The Irish got massacred. The Spanish cops were erased. And various major characters were killed off. I think the Somali character got off easy and eventually came back for revenge though off-screen. Even the guy that supposedly intimidated the Somali boy to help the kid with the chain got epically brutalised by Sully later on in the show in a fashion far more humiliating.
It’s interesting though how that Toronto meme page made it seem like it was an L for the entire Somali nation. It just shows you that there is no such thing as Somali individuals in the eyes of Ajanabis, we are just one big Hive from East Africa.
