Even the west adapted it's democracy from greece, it geared it towards their culture which is broken down into social classes of 'workers' vs 'businesses' right and left wing basically. They addressed the social classes that developed due the economic boom they had. Their system addresses their culture. What your doing is your looking at how successful it is in their country and think copy n pasting will give u the same result. But your society isn't broken down into the social classes they are broken down into, so your democracy is applying their system completely to a society that is broken down along other barriers(religion, tribe, ethnic). So what happens is your democracy ignores your social break down as a people and the people believe in those social breakdowns due to your socio-economic situation and your democracy just fails and goes into the cycle you see happening across 99% of non western world that is democratic. The tribe basically remains the silent power while the cloak cover is democracy and the worst thing to happen after that is, all the people that enter into the democracy are not really 'genuine' about it which creates side effect diseases of corruption, incompetency, hiring wrong people, investments go down because of rule law is weak cause they all take bribes from their tribesman. They remain in that cycle for decades wondering why their country is not picking up. I tell em U STARTED WRONG, U LAID THE WRONG FOUNDATION IN THE FIRST PLACE.

This would be a suitable solution. Districts can be divided proportionally based on equal population. For example each district will have around 50000 people. Since the major clans of Somalia proper are virtually equal in population it shouldn't cause major problems.

The more densely populated areas will have more districts than the vast more sparse areas.

Inshaallah I will do a thread about this in more detail.

just cause its a foreign concept doesn't mean it's wrong or bad. The world is known for others picking up old ideas and developing them further. i understand that qabil will be an issue however when social reforms take place the qabil system will be buried 6 feet under.

it's a plan for the future and there is a correlation between development and people moving into the cities. Let's be honest our camel nomadic way of life is coming to an end, the famine is an example of that. We are going to be an intensive agriculture farming society, which means fixed settlements for a system like this to unleash the political power of Somalia.

I went saanaag last year majority of reer miyi moved into the cities like erigavo ceel afweyn and badhan etc theyve realised city living is easier and theirs more access to hospitals schools etc even though all of somalias goverment services are shit right now in future i assume that will change

Nope those aren't equally distributed districts

A good example would be this. Notice how the densely populated parts of the US have more districts than the less populated parts.

California has 53 districts while Montana only has 1

While in the Senate all states have an equal number of seats to protect minorities.

This would be the best solution imo

someone needs to make a map like that for somalia but since the country is in war then somaliland should try conduct a census then build a district based goverment afterwards. We need a decentralised central state like kenya not fedralism for somalis to be honest

you mean not having a con federalisation but a federalisation like australia with two houses, one based one population and one on states, is the goal :ahh:

Yes a census is necessary for this to be successful.

But going by past censuses the population of each major clans are about equal. So there shouldn't be much of an issue with this for qabilists and non-qabilists alike
