Somalis need to stop generalising

Nope I am marrying Somali as I want to keep my wealth within my lineage.

If I was a bum I would probably have married out and been having baby mamas all over the place.

Don't want all this hard work and money I have made over the past decade to go right back to ajnabis lol
Make sure you tell your future wife you hate being around your people lol.

Is it because of any specific cultural traits or the only somalis u knew before were poor ? Would u feel the same if we were more educated/wealthier ?

Ur gonna like the ones back home if u feel negatively about the ones here tbh, they’re even more regressive
Let's be honest here majority of UK Somalis especially the men are not doing too well for themselves, especially the millennial generation. Hopefully the Gen z get better but I doubt it as they're not in any shape or form in tune with their dhaqan iyo afkooda hooyo.

My personal experience is that majority of the Somali boys I used to know as acquaintances have either ended up in prison, gone insane, or bums. A handful have made something of themselves, and those have either married out of the community or have not married yet as they're focused on their business/careers.

The reason why I don't give the people back home any flack is because they don't know any better and are not in a land where there is free education and every opportunity at their disposal to do better for themselves unlike the Somalis who are born or raised in the West. Somali women in general are doing way better in terms of being educated and financially independent which I welcome always

My gripe is mostly with the Somali men who have failed to rein in their community and lead them away from this self loathing and constant quarrel.

UK Somalis are the most qabiiliste group I have ever come across and are majority suffering from egotistical psychosis.

Either way I no longer have any Somali acquaintances save the few I talk with at the masjid or who come to my establishment for services.

Lol isn’t this what I was talking about? Your personal experiences have been bad so that means “the majority of UK Somalis are not doing well”? The majority are suffering from what? 🤣

When Somalis spread stuff like this on popular platforms like twitter and tiktok, jareeers almost always pick up on it and repeat the same negative generalisations. Wallahi sometimes I wish Somalis weren’t allowed into the west.

I need to know ur age.. nobody born & raised in the west is qabilist like that, hell most dont even know their clan.. The UK might be different though because of how homogenous somalis are there, isaaq majority. Mala kala xishoonayo, in other parts of the diaspora parents made sure to avoid clan talks at home because the community was too diverse, no body wanted their child to run their mouth at school or with their friends, clan was taboo

The UK is very off, when I visited I saw too many somali men who were either crackheads or mentally ill roaming the streets
