This is especially important for those who argue with african xenophobes. Dadkeena daruuf ba uu keentay iney wadamadas aadan, and even if u think alot of them are doing well financially they are not. Many times they live or do business amongst poor and uneducated people who can easily be riled up to carry out violent attacks esp in Kenya & South Africa because of socialmedia, so be careful with what you say in response to their xenophobia. Alot of the hostility they show in those countries is due to economic frustrations, they feel like the little they have is being taken by outsiders, so be patient with them. I’m not here to make excuses for them but dad dhiban waaye at the end of the day.
As for Kenya if you see someone yell ”go back to Somalia” dont respond with ”Go back to Congo” pls some of them genuinely don’t know that somalis inhabit a huge chunk of kenyan territory that we’re native to or we were some of the first people to live on kenyan territory. And for those who are spreading misinfo because of ethnic resentment, leave a cheeky response that’s not too offensive.
some of you have yelled ”Go back to Congo, you bantus!” so many times that xenophobes have switched the narrative on us, now some are saying that somalis are a threat because we believe that bantus are not native to Kenya and we’re looking to deport them
