Somalis should support eachother!

On one hand I agree that it is important to preserve and learn about our culture. On the other hand we shouldn't go to the extreme and start dictating who every Somali should marry. This is the same reason why our country has been in a crisis for several decades. I really do dislike it when Somalis try to twist verses of the Quran to support their nationalistic ideas.

@Duchess i think this brother makes a compelling argument.

What a random Somali does with their life has no implication on me or my life. I don't care for Somali intermarriage and consider it a non-issue that isn't worthy of a double take or social chastisement, they would have to mean something to me (family) for me to provide my two-cents in public. It's not within my authority to say something to them, since individualism is the order of the day (abroad). I just gave some reasons in favour of social endogamy.

You cannot deny that half Somalis are viewed with greater suspicion than their non-mixed counterparts, when it comes to their commitment to Somali people. The reason I referred to them as a potential liability is because there is a great likelihood they will not contribute to ethnic Somali continuity in the diaspora, compared to full Somalis which feel a bit more obligated. And it's not like you can blame them since they are mixed. This fear of the mixed breed could be just a mere exaggeration, and since their numbers are very low it's difficult to determine what they would ever do for Somalia if given the chance. It's only speculated that because they are half that their loyalties are divided more so than their full-blooded say wallahi counterpart. It's difficult for me think of a half-Somali that's gone back home to help out off the top of my head, so you'll have to forgive me. Even a segment of the say wallahis are expats that go back home and provide their expertise. They aren't all dhaqan celis fleeing a criminal conviction in the west kkkkkkkkkkk. And although they are not stoutly nationalistic, many have a degree of national pride that hasn't been stifled by prolonged civil unrest/ a fall from grace:fittytousand:.

Full Somali means nothing when you half heartedly contribute within the Somali community. By contribution if
we're talking about chasing down Ayuuto money or gossiping(men n women) about someone else''s daughter then yh that is a lot of contribution but other than that walahi :zhqjlmx: not much there. People are hiding their fears and insecurities behind Somali nationalism in my opinion.

Full Somali vs Half Somali, cajaab

@yas/London @The-Southerner @Animal4321

What the hell are you guys even talking about honestly? .Did the point of this thread just go over peoples head, why invade my thread with bunch of bitter gender war cries.? and Spouting Salafi mumbo jumbo side ways.

This thread is about Somalis supporting eachother and valuing eahother. Nevermind the tiny procent who marry out. This is not about individual contributions to the community but about collective contributions. Tossing welfare money at your own relatives is not contributing to the Somali community, thats just kills peoples incentives to be productive & work, while ajanabis come in and exploit us. That's not real contributions.

''I send money back home '' kulaha , Yeah soo does everyone else, now join the bus full of nada

My point is that Somalis work as a unit, and make real investments in ourselves collectively & not individually.
