The government in Turkey, Tunisia is evacuating it's citizens from Lebanon. All other countries in the EU and even Germany flying them out. Why hasn't the Somali government done anything ? not even a public announcement.

I feel for the average Somali national they go abroad to get their education so they can return to their country to benefit it, only for them to put up with a lot in process.

At least last year Somali government managed to evacuate 1500s Somalis from Sudan and successfully transport them back.

You’re waffling. Getting a degree or studying some kind of programme in Lebanon, as bad as the economy was, is ten times better than studying a shitty degree from Muqdisho or Hargeysa. The programmes are also taught by qualified English/ Arabic speakers. Lebanon GDP is three times that of Somalia. There are probably towns in Lebanon with better infrastructure than Somali cities.


You need get rid of this nonsensical pesudo nationalistic sentiment about people not liking to live in a country. Somalis aren’t going to live in Lebanon in for life, most are students who see it as more advantageous to study in a country with some of the best universities in the Middle East and are probably cheaper than Qatar/Saudi etc. a qualification from Lebanon is more recognised around the Middle East and entire world.

What has liking got to do with this? These are desperate people from a failed state trying to better their lives and most want to return to better their country once the studies are over or leave for the West. just looked it up they have the 3rd best university in the arab league behind qatar/saudi, can't blame them for going there especially if theyre getting some sort of scholarship

Lebanon has really good schools and Somalis get free admission because we are Arab league members
