I miss doing my hair every morning, I miss my pony tails, my Dutch braids, I miss my high bun. I miss wearing hair chains during the summer!

I miss my French manicure. I miss having nail polish on!

I love wearing the hijab though.

Around strict family members it comes on and around chill family members it comes off.


I'm in the struggle phase of deciding between becoming a full time hijabi or not wearing the hijab at all.

You can get henna done on your nails black or red. The black one lasts weeks/months. I need to do it soon..

As for styling my hair, i do a daily fresh plait then undo it in the evenings. Usually a boring long one then roll it into a big bun. I love doing my hair for selfies too, no one sees except the fam.

Just because I haven't chosen the "right path" in terms of the hijab doesn't mean my Hooyo forces it on me.
She's the best mother in the world and she respects my decisions.
