Sudan Conflict Updates: Army vs RSF

very sad considering the people want nothing but elections just generals destroying the whole country. May Allah grant them peace and prosperity inshallah.

It's the same in most African 'Countries'; the Generals are getting insanely rich while the people suffer; and people will continue to suffer as long as they cheerlead for their rich Generals.

South Sudan takes corruption to another level, saaxiib

:snoop:

It will take decades to heal from the 1st and 2nd Sudanese civil wars and our own civil war.
Same in Somalia all these leaders should be publicly hanged. I hope the conflict in Sudan doesn't become a full blown civil war Baggara Vs Riverine Arabs(Jailye and Shukri)

What are you on about?

There was chaos before and it went on for decades; Bashir's coup is literally the reason the ostensibly promising Peace talks of 1988-89 were scuppered, and this intensified the North-South war -- resulting in hundreds of thousands of additional deaths in South Sudan.

People are only now valorizing Bashir's barbarous, inhumane and fanatical reign because the war never really reached Khartoum; that little foray by JEM doesn't count.

The people of Khartoum are only now receiving 1% of what their elites dished out to people in South Sudan, the Nuba Mountains, Blue Nile and Darfur.

Your right especially the scale of killing in the periphery regions
are there regions that are advocating for Separatism/autonomy in Sudan, Secularisim is being demanded by factions like SPLA are there any regions with significant religious population other than Islam in Sudan

The scale of the killings and the creation of artificial famines was apocalyptic; savage Arab militiamen beheaded Chiefs, burnt women and children alive and castrated the boys.

The South only took up arms (and lost over 2 million people) because the North thought it would be a swell idea to engage in systematic land-theft of large, mineral-rich Southern territories, like Kafia Kingi.

There are currently no secessionist movements in Kordofan, Darfur or Blue Nile; Secession wouldn't be tenable because the Arab tribes that migrated into these Nilo-Saharan and Niger-Kordofan lands in the 14-18th Centuries are so extensively distributed that coherent, contiguous borders wouldn't be possible.

Only autonomy is being demanded by the indigenous populations in the peripheral regions.

The South was the only non-Muslim region; every other region is Muslim.
