Sudan Conflict Updates: Army vs RSF

Nuer rebels were already in khartoum long before this war eruped; they were hosted and provided with weapons, supplies and ammunition by the SAF and military intelligence.

It seems that Nuer rebel factions developed partnerships with both the SAF and the RSF; I thought that the SAF was the lowest the Nuer rebels would stoop to.

Khartoum has had a close and fruitful relationship (from their perspective) with the Nuer since the 80s. Paulino Matip Nhial (Nuer General) provided the services of 50k Nuer militiamen for Khartoum's use in Unity State and literally saved Bashir's life on two separate occasions.

The civilians living under RSF control are going through hell. Now there is a video circulating of a girl being gang raped by RSF in her bedroom. There is only one solution to these forces.

Women are seeking birth controls now after the janjaweed militias took a major city where many people took refuge in and wallahi the reports coming out of there is really heartbreaking and sad :frdfvsb:

That's the place I was referring to :frdfvsb:

The war has been nothing short of a disaster. SAF should definitely not escape accountability for their part, but the Janjaweeds are barbaric on another dimension. Just pure rape, deaths, destructions and endless harm of civilians in the territories under their authority as if they're on a genocidal hunt. The footages (and testimonies) coming out of Sudan are horrifying. At this point, it shouldn't be a question of whom to side with in the war. May Allah keep the innocent safe from these tragedies and end the war soon.

One of the most stupid people in this conflict has to be Mahamat Deby of Chad whose country is literally being used by UAE to arm these militias, once the Baggara are done with Sudan they’ll come for Chad and Niger.

Even the regional HQ of the central bank was turned into dust after their takeover. Nothing will be spared with them. Unless the SAF does something about their incompetence and shortcomings, they will loose further more to the Janjaweeds.

the sudanese establishment not swallowing rsf and allowing them to become massive has come back to bite them. they now have a huge battle hardened independent army that is funded by foreigners and gold mines etc.

The mistake was creating RSF in the first place. Not that they were allowed to become powerful. I wish Sudan and Sudanese people well, but let's be honest here. The establishment (minus the suffering of civilians and destruction of the country) deserves this backlash.

If they were serious about the stability of the nation, they wouldn't have funded the Janjaweeds starting back in the late 90s to counter the rise of insurgency threats in Darfur. SAF should've dealt with the issue in an appropriate manner. Maybe too much to ask for given the aftermath of the first and second Sudanese civil war.

In any case, they chose to arm and support Janjaweeds to do their dirty laundry. Which culminated in the atrocities committed in Darfur. Now that they are emboldened, why would they not turn on their (former) masters? RSF are just a bi-product of SAF after all.

Bashir legalized the janjaweeds under Hemdti leadership to secure his position in power against any move that the military establishment would make against him and that had severe consequence to the stability of Sudan.

If the RSF win this war, it means the collapse of the Sudanese state. The RSF is incapable of running a country of 50 million. They have no legitimacy, and the Sudanese riverine elite will never allow a bunch of illiterate cow herders to destroy their civilization. The riverine elite have sufficient cohesion to defeat the RSF in the long run, but they may have to rebuild the state by the time this is over.

Sudan is an incredibly ecologically fragile country that requires gov intervention every day to maintain its ability to irrigate farmlands. I am shocked that there has not been a massive famine yet. Inshallah it does not happen.

UAE :susp:

They have to be the worst country in the region. They support destabilisation, disunity, death and destruction everywhere. They will get their comeuppance one day. The day Iran give them that work at lot of ppl will be celebrating

Lol the Emiratis have no problems with the Iranians they help the Persians sell their oil through Dubai and evade sanctions, this has to due with the Emiratis Red Sea strategy of keeping Jebel Ali port relevant and not being overtaken by other ports. This same scenario could happen in Somalia in the near future UAE trained militias vs SNA.

The Baggara are now targeting Shaigiya citizens. This conflicting is reminding me of late 80's Somalia. Inshallah they don't face governmental collapse soon like it happened to us.
