Technically I believe it is the SNA that is clearly backed by Turkey, those are the ones fighting the Kurds/SDF. The HTS is the group fighting the Assad regime and taking his weapons and is more independent, those are the ones they are calling Sunni "radicals". So it may be that they target the latter group.

EDIT: actually the kurdish group is backed by the US/Israel so you may be right. I am pretty sure that is how israelis smuggles all the oil they steal out of there.
