I actually hope it doesn't turn into proxy war infighting and that the rebels manage to unite as one and create stability for Syrians after they remove Assad.
But we will have to see how things play out.

These people are too shortsighted to see the aftereffects of this.
Israel is destroying all the remaining Assad weapons stockpiles to prevent them from falling into the hands of literally anyone.
Assad confirmed alive by Russia, most likely in Tehran or Moscow.
Netanyahu is just as happy as his friend @Galool he also claims he helped the rebels out by distracting hezbollah and Iran from Syria.

You know why Iran and Hezbullah didn't fight for him, because they were certain that he talked to Israel and passed on infos for isreal.Its a lot simpler. Bashar ran out of money.run at the top by a tiny Alawite minority and a middle class of sunni uncle Tom's paid for muscle. bashar kept paying the alawites and cut corners on the paychecks for the sunni seculars. No ideology. So they gave up to the islamists.
If HTS dont improve the economy and try to implement Sharia Law across the country you will see the Alawi/Christian/Middle class Sunni create an Assad 2.0
They didn't fight for him because the Syrian army refused to fight for him cut the BS.
Rebels destroyed the AA systems they captured and the remaining few are useless with expertise. Syria is a sitting duck.

And so it begins with looting. Then after some time it's proxy war lords fighting it out for power.
It's begun, like an exact re-enactment of the USC hordes in Mogadishu, we can get mad as much as we want, but these countries using Somalia as a failed State example of not what to do when it comes to state building aren't exactly lying if we're being honest with ourselves.

It's not really about a lesson in state building. It's a lesson in proxy wars and transition of power you can see what happen in Libya that how it's gonna become more or less.
Unless the toppling of government comes through a real local populous resistance with a regime plan , it is bound to not succeed, especially with that many foreign states having their hand in the cookie jar.
You can't have foreign countries invade, funding and arming factions that destabilize a country to ensure their own geo-political interests and then call that country a failed state. So neither Libya, Syria or Somalia is a failed state. A regime change has to happen from within not from without.
