Tapestry of Feathers

@The alchemist rather than AEA-derived, could it be cultural diffusion from Cushitic-speaking groups into Nilotes and Nilo-Cushites? They would've adopted pastoralism from someone, and that group could've been it. NS are much too Central Saharan for me to imagine an AEA-link tying our practises and theirs together.

I'm looking at you like you're name is George RR Martin, I'm the biggest ASOIAF fan in the world, it's the year 2030 and he says TWOW is 3/4 done.

Jk in your own time but also I can't wait but also there's no rush but also it's up there with GTA 6 for things to look forward to rn.

You lads give me too much credit. Just a hobbyist, really. Many of you have achieved what I always hoped to somewhat inspire with Anthromadness and have become quite knowledgeable, passionate and skillful around these subjects. A chap like @The alchemist has in many ways far surpassed me, as far as I'm concerned. Somali and Horn studies, even the armchair sense, are in good hands, alhamdulillah. You lads make me feel at ease knowing this.

I think this is more what it is. I would be more inclined to think it is a deeply entrenched NS tradition that we Cushites inherited from our likely NS speaking roots (I'm of the opinion that much of our AEA ancestry is NS mediated) if this was being shown as a tradition among NS speakers like the Dinka, Anuak or Atuot in places like South Sudan but it appears to be showing up in groups we know are usually in some way influenced by Cushites in SE Africa.

You are sounding like an old man now xD Most of us started our journey to refute other claims about us, it was always about the journey, not the destination
