I just want to write a book about Ogaden War. I would like to know somali point of view if I talke about this topic is because many people want to know somali point of view about the war.

But if you dont want to talk about this war, this is not my problem. The world will still believe that Somalia lost 1977 war. I just want to know somali opinion. The decision is in your hands.

I really want people know your truth.
You're starting to sound like Darth Vader, "Luke I am Your Father" but in your case it's " The decision of your history is in your hands"

We already told you, the reason why Ethiopia won was because of Cuba and Soviet Union, Ethiopia has been saved so many times cause they scream out "Jesus Help!!" everytime they get their ass handed to them after they start shit and the world rushes to save them like a damsel in distress. :kodaksmiley:

Dude General Abdulahi Ahmed Cirro is alive but I guess you meant colonel mohamed osman Cirro who was killed.
In a January 2017 version of the article it says he was killed by Siad Barre, they must have edited it since

Cirro and Abdulahi Yusuf fought on two different fronts. Abdulahi Yusuf was the commander of dolow front (my dad who was a sergent was under his command) while Cirro lead the Godey front along with General galal for a period.

Abdulahi Yusuf without a doubt had a military capabilities but his legacy was washed away by his warlord behavior.

Cirro played role in the first stage, the prepartion and mobilisation of the war. But when the assualt started him and his entire Godey division were placed under Abdullahi Yusuf. AY was commanding half of the army and the other half was under Gen. Ali Samatar, he was leading from Hargeisa. It was the southern division of AY that came close to capturing JigJiga, Samatar's forces were met with heavy resistance and didn't march into the Ethiopian landscape.

This is a memoir of a 1977 war veteran.

Similarly, the reorganization also included the leaders of Godey, Qabri-Dahare, Col Ali Hussein the leader of Qabri-Dahare was re-assigned to participate in the second phase of the war under 26th-division, Col Begedi was assigned to Godey to replace the Godey front leader Col Irro who was restated as chief commanding staff officer in 60th-Div responsible for mobilization and organization and support of 6-Brigades for the second phase of the war for Negheille Center under the leadership of the Col Abdullahi Yussuf.

Abdulahi Ahmed Cirro a prominent military professor and a general as well the founder of national academy for strategy is a man one can say is the president somalia never had.

A graduate of the elite Frunze military school, Egyptian military academy and the commander of the 60th division as well as deputy commander of the 21st division. Cirro commanded the Godey front in the 77-war and his forces caused the biggest casuality to the Ethiopians wiping out the entire 4th division.

A medal of valor winner after 77-war cirro fell out with Barre over suspicion of plotting a coup of which was later found not guilty when he was arrested. He declined to join rebel groups formed in Ethiopia and insteaded opted to stay neutral. If only Barre choose to stay closer to people like him the kacaan would have been in place today.

I presidential material we never had.

Let me guess he is your Adeer.

I have never been pro AY and will mostly be that way forever... caydiid was a moryaan and AY was a warload not anything like General Cirro

Ogaden War was a golden opportunity to change Horn of Africa landscape. Siad Barre failed to achieve Greater Somalia dream and condemned Somalia to its destruction.

What led to siyad barre downfall isn't the talent in his administration, it was the russians and americans who abadoned his supplies, he had nowhere to fund his army anymore, it was a result of ethiopia war why he lost power. Siyad still was a genius in his own right, if it wasn't for his vision, all these ports, airports, roads, our educated, military, political elites would never have existed in the first place. Infact if you look closely at all Somali history, it's basically daarood one way or another. SYL was founded by yasin ali sharmarke, sure other somalis to joined it but its like federalism, other somalis have joined it doesn't negate the fact abdillahi yusuf was the founder.

Till this day the impact SYL has left is what somalis are trying to 'mimick', they didn't really add anything economically due to the lifespan of their administration but what they did do is steal the hearts and minds of somalis till this very day and that's what you call a big visionary in my book. Somali flag, anthem, our soldier culture(darawish), I mean really do you think it is a coincidence hawiye/isaaq are pissed off? but it's not daarood fault, it's their leaders who are not visionary enough to leave anything behind to impact on somali culture due to their ability not selling it well enough cause it looks to clannish. If something is too clannish, it just ends in dead corner and never picks up like (hdm federal approach) or somaliland (seccession) approach. That's why I have a-lot of hope for farmaajo since it is very unusual for a daarood not to leave something behind for Somalia that will impact on our culture and way of life for decades to come.

Why don't you focus on your own people and plunge your people out of poverty and mistrust and use your moryaan milita to kick out AMISOM, but noooo the problem is "Daroodism" what ever the hell that means and not the Bantu Soldiers that are colonising our own land? :O27GWRK:
