Foreign aid stunts economic development by making it free which means farmers can not sell their produce and It also makes the people dependent on it which is not a good thing if you want to start developing as nation
You can’t keep giving free food for ever it is not sustainable the poor will become dependent on it and will never get out of poverty@tootrappy
It’s like arguing soup kitchens are bad for restaurants because people are getting free food. Have you ever asked yourself if these people have any money to buy food? There is extreme poverty and most of the people who can afford to buy food are supported from the diaspora via remittances. That country would have collapsed without diaspora Somalis.

Those numbers are very exaggerated and there are already a lot of people dying of hunger even with aid

Those in rural areas I understand if they are starving due to livestock perishing and water drying up. There should be charity but in a more sustainable way so they don’t have to rely on it on the future you have to remember there will always be poverty and hunger.

No one is attacking your character to undermine your argument you moron so please find another way to bullshit your way out of this.Nice ad hominem.
A populations mindset determines the actions that they’ll take during certain situations, in our case, the civil war was a chance for outdated clan rivalries to rear it’s ugly head and a chance for these traitors (clan elders) to take control of their own little shitholes and wave a giant middle finger to the bigger picture, which is Somalia as a whole. This delayed response allowed for Al-Shabab to take as much control as it did. Even today, outside of Xamar, how much land does the Government control?
The fact there’s atleast 5 presidents in one country tells you how divided they are, a divided country means divided resources and manpower, which in turn severely increases the casualties of any famines as it decreases the ability of the country being able to respond to any disasters.
This is exactly what you wrote unless you have the reading comprehension of a 9 year old your going to have a hard time denying this. Now please do explain how a mindset causes droughts? Does the collective mindset of India, China and South Africa also cause droughts for them? The reason for droughts and famine is due to Somalia being a backward shithole where the inhabitants have a mindset that would even be considered divisive for the 1500’s.
You referred to me as “mentally challenged”...No one is attacking your character to undermine your argument you moron so please find another way to bullshit your way out of this.

You accused me of using an ad hominem, at this point I'm probably inclined to call you mentally challenged. You referred to me as “mentally challenged”...
Can you read? Refute any of my points, and let’s debate.
Unless they didn’t choose to be beggars...So you’re going to blame poor people who have been who have had their livelihoods destroyed by these NGOs?@SilverL
Have you ever heard that ‘beggars are no choosers’? If you’re hungry and are killing one another, you’ve no one else to blame except yourself.
Unless they didn’t choose to be beggars...So you’re going to blame poor people who have been who have had their livelihoods destroyed by these NGOs?
So that’s what it is, you volunteered for them meanwhile the people who hired you to do their dirty work for free are making millions. Do you really think I believe your tales?@SilverL
You paint these NGO's like they are cruel monsters. I volunteered for one and guess what? They built water wells for nomads and you can't believe the sub sub clan arguments between those in power who wanted the wells first built for their jufo and in some cases, work was delayed for weeks. Even when we wanted to install a water purification systems for displaced poor Somalis, some senior corrupt Puntland official wanted bribes or we should get lost. The enemy of Somalis are Somalis themselves and not these NGO's,

lol, I should know, I had a job offer from one of those “15 pennies a day will save a starving kid” type orgs and they were starting at 17 dollars and hour to have me stand on a street corner harassing passerbys this is what your donations go to@SilverL
Who are they making millions from? They were mostly retired professionals who self funded their project, got assistance such as materials from big construction engineering companies and superannuation funds. You guys turn every human who wants to help Somalis into an enemy and an evil person, what have you done for poor Somalis other than to spew harmful words online towards those who want to help them? Silence is gold.
