Poll on where to move the capital to.

Bombadishu is too polarizing.

Too many cooks in the kitchen. We need a brand new chartered city.

Maybe use existing cities on a rolling basis every 20 years so enough developments gets distributed equally?

Comment below for any other city not listed.

Rotate it every few months between federal states. These lazy politicians can easily pack their bags and travel or have video conferences.

What needs to never happen is concentrating all power and wealth in one city that is also heavily militarised

Every couple months isn't feasible. You want to be able to build robust institutions.

It's more cost effective to have national governing bodies in a single location and there's less risk of local interference and friction.

I'm sure the parliament is reading this thread and will take it into consideration.

Would'nt Xamar prosper if it wasn't the capital? Make it another states problem with Al kabab and Militias running crazy all over it :mjpls:

Xamar still has a chance if we rotate the capital city around every 10-20 years.

If that makes them want to seccede they can but we're taking Banaadir with us.

Better yet, rotate it every few weeks. That way every city in Somalia gets a chance to become a capital in our lifetime.

We will be known as the country with the nomadic roaming capital.

practically no one will want to be a federal xildhibaan because 3k a month isnt worth the hassle. good idea.

3 of those cities are in a different country, I would suggest Addis Ababa or Nairobi if you’re looking for others to rule you

Galkacyo is the obvious choice for any capital change. Duopoly of two major clans, central Somalia, its growth would support an extra two port cities in 2 states.

I would support secession but the current world system will never accept it.
