One of the funniest things I have ever experienced in my life happened during wartime. There was literally a war going on between the government and Al shabaab at that time where we lived in Xamar. We used to have our own place where we would gather when the bullets stopped, chatting about what had happened with everyone who came there from the city. One day, while we were talking in the sitting area, there was this amputee guy who used sticks to walk—he couldn’t walk or run on his own. He was sitting there with us, chatting about what had happened when the war paused for a moment. Then, unexpectedly, bullets started flying again right near us, and everyone began running for their lives. We used to hide in a nearby building, so everyone quickly rushed there. When the bullets stopped and calm returned, we started heading back. That’s when the amputee guy said, ‘Can someone get my sticks back?’ Everyone burst out laughing, asking, ‘How on earth did you run here without your sticks?

There was orom caught in PL he acted like the was amputee for nearly 6 month people gave him money because he looked miskeen . One day this kid said he's not an amputee and people didn't believe him. 3 months later the kid gotten feed up and dumped him off is wheel chair and it turned out this amputee was wearing short and kept sticking is legs in the shorts sleeves to have it look like he was truly an amputee rather than just siting on his legs. Are you sure this guy was truly an amputee?

I left Somalia 2011 and moved to Belgium but currently I'm back home in Mogadishu Now.
