On old maps, you will see various Somali clans named around the city, practising agropastoralism, as the Oromo pushed into the surrounding lands you see these groups go back to areas close to their ancestral land, for example, the Gadabuursi went back to Harawo due to the insecurity outside the walls, you still can't trust Oromos, had a relative who lived amongst them who got murdered 2 years ago, he was married to Oromo, he got killed just for being Somali and owning land.In the thread he pointed out that the Bedouins he was referring to was Somalis and it was Somalis in the area that would have seasonal secondary homes in Harar.

But this actually goes to show how farce this nomad label really is, like i said in another thread. It doesn't accurately capture the complexity.
