Pro Farmajo supporters (and maybe his officials also) are saying that the current impasse regarding elections means that the September 17th agreement is now null and void. Therefore they say there should be a 2 year extension followed by real elections for the Parliament (lower house only?) under universal suffrage and the directly elected lawmakers in turn elect the next president

My theory is that it is easier for Farmajo to rig a real election under 1P1V than a limited, indirect election that happened in late 2016/ early 2017

My sources are saying it’s either the 17th of September agreement is signed. *which won’t be signed unless their is major pressure from the IC in madobe and deni and threats of sanctions which I dont see.

Final option is letting IC meet with all states acting as guarantors and signing this new election agreement. I think this will happen personally, as long as your bills are paid by aid you have no sovereignty.

Its not a good idea to belive in you're own lies, failmaajo 100% didn't send anybody, it was the opposite, he tried to prevent them from going and almost lost some federal states in the process all together.

Keep in mind if the opposition, especially the former presidents did partake in a meeting arranged by IC with all federal presidents, before failmaajo was able to meet with them, this alone will be a mayor L to your uncle - and it also explains the desperate attempt in parliament today.

sadly even as a N&N guy myself this is what I heard.

The president was completely caught by surprise by the IC community absolutely refusal to warn or even pressure Deni & madobe to accept the agreement they signed on the 17th of September.

I honestly believe the IC see an independent Somalia as a threat and therefore don’t like farmaajo to come back , but regardless even if you disagree and hate farmaajo it’s clear deni and madobe have the backing of the IC.

the longer the deadlock goes on the better it is for deni and madobe.

all road have now been closed for the president he will have to re-open the negotiation/signed agreement. They will all sign with the IC acting as guarantors.

the only agreement the opposition will sign is one they can win and president farmaajo won’t return. Don’t know who they will choice to run and become president but right now it’s “anyone but farmaajo”
