Why are you lying? his unit didn't do much in 77' war. The Somali airforce was substantially weaker than the Ethiopian one due to sanctions from trading with N. Vietnam. He also trained in America after being in the Soviet Union. He was a geeljire who couldn't read or write his own name before he was picked up and educated by the Somali government. He should get on his knees should kiss the blue flag that gave him his "legacy"

Also, Like @Chase said that was AY's unit (AUN) the majority of the war and it's draft plans and execution were made by Gen. Irro and Gen. Samatar who were the brains and operators of the war which is why the initial attacks were so successful. They even shocked the soviets at the time by how careful and meticulous their strategies were. Attacking from both North and the South and rendering Amhara positions useless.
