These primitive clan elders need to be removed from positions of power and authority. That is the first step to bringing substantial progress and peace to Somalia.

Odayasha daqanka are hindering peace and progress in Somalia. They are the reasons why justice, accountability and transparency don't exist in Somalia. They are the reason murders and rapists are walking freely in Somalia. The clan elders are the reasons why we have an ineffective judicial system. As long as these elders hold positions of power and authority, Somalia will never experience long-term peace and economic prosperity. The traditional authority structure needs to be completely dismantled. The Somali government needs to invest in building strong legal and judicial institutions.
