The true political solution? Islam.

Importing government structures that arose due to European contexts was never going to be viable. The only siyaasad we knew is how to deal with ceelka reerka and we never got to find our own way of siyaasad and governance when the colonialist arrived. The UAE will never allow Islam to take its rightful place as the dominant political ideology nor will they allow us to become successful. In all honesty,
Federalism is truly the best governmental system for Somalia. A nation were federal member states handle their own affairs e.g elections, implement and follows their own legislation, has their own police force, adheres to both state and federal legislation etc were in turn the federal government handles immigration, national military, healthcare, foreign affairs, adheres to state and federal legislation etc. Australia would be a perfect example, their federal system is impeccable, but tribalism cupped with outside influence has stagnated the current federal system in Somalia, so much so that Somalia is only a federal republic only by name.

If people back in Somalia don’t call for change, then the status quo will continue indefinitely.

what guarantee do you have that the leader will be competent? also there is no such thing as a "military dictatorship" you are referring to a military junta which is the worst possible government for development. what do generals know about building infrastructure, managing the economy or industrializing a country?

Federalism will not work in Somalia because naturally, states will be divided upon tribal lines. We will continue to try and govern via qabiil and foreign states will use this weekness and use the fear of the other to pit us against each other whilst they grab our resources.

somalis only respond to getting whooped like they in dugsi so if I was president I will stage a fake war where the somali identity is threatened and ethiopians are gonna be armed. Im gonna take out people across all clans. No one is safe if they work alone with their puny clan. This will force somalis to band together. Subclans will join forces under the banner of their clans. As they do that I will apply more force behind the scenes against these larger clans which will force clans to see the bigger enemy and become 1 body. I will then scale back on the attacks but continue on a smaller scale because Somalis are arrogant and have main character syndrome So I have to make them feel like they are winning. Using this tactic which I ENTIRELY MADEUP, Somali nationalism is revived and we will make a big musuem of all the clans history and we will reconcile and celebrate our victory. I will give out lacag and medals to somali clans and make them feel special
