Lamagoodles originated in the north, while D&M originated in the south. I read this theory that both of them are descended from a proto-Somali population that lived in southern Ethiopia.

Yes Eelaay were the first to migrate.

They were first of mirifle to migrate to baidoa and buur hakaba region because according to their oral story eyle, wardaay and malabsaay lived in the region before them. Can't say if they were first in dooy tho

I agree with @Garaad Awal. We entered th”Eritrea as proto Cushites roughly around early Middle Kingdom period or 1st intermediate period 2500 BCE as gash group. We stayed in these regions for some time. We eventually entered the Somali peninsula 1500 BCE.
