By race, I mean what the child will be considered. If the father is Somali, then the child is Somali, etc.just lineage. genetics wont be any different whether its the mother or the father who is Somali.
technically that still doesnt make sense. the child will have a qabiil, but will still not be somali just cos we made up a rule that mullatos with somali father are somali. its makes no more sense than the 1 drop rule. genetically speaking, the kid will be half somali and thats it. otherwise if a half cadaan guy married a cadaan woman, we will be claiming their kid who would be only 25% somali and so on.By race, I mean what the child will be considered. thats not true at all, probably the complete opposite. half somali children with somali mother are 99% of the time the ones who are more connected to our culture. the whole 'children follow their father' is probably a way to discourage somali women from marrying out. most somali fathers hardly contribute to child rearing so how exactly are they supposed to follow their father.
PREACH! I just learned that 'following your father' on this site tbh..thats not true at all, probably the complete opposite. half somali children with somali mother are 99% of the time the ones who are more connected to our culture. the whole 'children follow their father' is probably a way to discourage somali women from marrying out. most somali fathers hardly contribute to child rearing so how exactly are they supposed to follow their father.
It may not make sense (technically) but we're talking about Somali culture, and in this culture, the child is considered to be from the race of their father.technically that still doesnt make sense. the child will have a qabiil, but will still not be somali just cos we made up a rule that mullatos with somali father are somali. its makes no more sense than the 1 drop rule. genetically speaking, the kid will be half somali and thats it. otherwise if a half cadaan guy married a cadaan woman, we will be claiming their kid who would be only 25% somali and so on.
Okey? That won't happen mate.will your kids become part of that statistic?
It's like that in many different culturesIt may not make sense (technically) but we're talking about Somali culture, and in this culture, the child is considered to be from the race of their father.
Pretty much all cultures with a strong tribal system / lineage. It's like that in many different cultures
I searched the term "Somali/a/land" and nothing came up. There is no language called "Somali/a/land' or a country called "Somali/a/land". What I found however was, a language called SOMALI and a country called SOMALIA.He knows absolutely nothing about Somali/a/land

So, next time, before you post something, make sure you're making sense and not sounding dyslexic.
Oh? Tell me more about it.Considering the OPs current situation, I think she might have an agenda
