I as a dinka am very skeptical of this "ancestral East African" component, the "proto mota coordinate" which is what its based off of from vahaduo was an edited version of the Ethiopian hg mota samaple which was supposed to be the version of the sample with Khoisan like ancestry and some southern Arabian like ancestry removed from it, but its not even a real dna sample, and we don't even know how accurate it is, people just run with it because it fits well with Cushitic groups in their g25 models, but its garbage on nilote groups, for all we know it could just be because of drift, or bottle neck or whatever. We don't even know how accurate it is, cause dna is all about references, and on vahaduo, all it really is, is a more exaggerated East African shifted coordinate, so since its higher up on the cline it by default gives already nilote and nilo saharan groups west africans because these 2 components (East African nilote and west African ancestry) work like polar opposites, so if I create a "more East African"coordinate, the previous "East African" coordinate picks up some west African dna. its better to wait until we have actual ancient samples of nilotes and other nilo Sahara groups before making such claims. Maybe there's some truth but we dont know how accurate these models are.

It's not Nilotic and neither are we a Nilotic people. Also it is very clear that we are Eurasian to some extent, you can clearly see it in our phenotype.

The truth is there aren't enough ancient samples and any amount of fiddling around with modern group samples will not give reliable results by any means.


All modern humans are the result of ancient admixture, we are not unique by any means in that sense.
