Why are Somali nomads have bad qualities

I agree, when viewed from a broader historical perspective, both groups lacked formal "citizenship." In European history, the concept of "freehold land" was prevalent, though not universal, until the 1700s. As land ownership became more regulated, being a nomad or Bedouin became crime. and finally with colonialism they forced none-Europeans to accept land ownership laws as a reality.

In my opinion, nomads live a more righteous life, and we should respect their lifestyle.
We should not respect them in Saudi Arabia. King Abdulaziz, when he got tired of these Bedouins who were fighting every day over the lands, he launched a campaign against them and forced them to live in the cities.
This is what we should do too

Ibn Majah reported the following from Jabir's narration, "A woman is never to lead a man in prayer, neither a bedouin to lead an emigrant, nor a sinner to lead a believer."

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade to eat (the meat of animals) slaughtered by the nomads for vainglory and pride.

These are other hadiths about the Nomads who live on pasture, a nomadic life,is not desirable in Islam
wow, I'm totally not versed in hadith haha is it because Qābīl killed Hābīl?

i'm always disappointed to see somalis in badiyo on the news, they are victims to droughts and floods in the same year because they build their houses on dried riverbeds, and it becomes a humanitarian issue for them. if they lived in cities with modern infrastructure, they wouldn't have water shortage or floods.

its a very interesting topic, i need to study this more.

It is known in Islam that city dwellers are better than irrigation dwellers
The Bedouins were renowned for their eloquence and purity of speech. The Prophet and young children were sent to live among them to acquire not only their refined way of speaking but also to cultivate the resilience and remarkable characteristics that defined them.

It was the custom of the Arabs living in towns to send their children away to Bedouin wet nurses so that they might grow up in the free and healthy surroundings of the desert. In this way, they would develop a robust frame and acquire the pure speech and manners of the Bedouins, who were noted for the purity of their language and for being free from the vice that usually develops in sedentary societies.

After doing a deep dive,

first one: It places certain conditions on who can lead the prayer based on gender, background, and piety. because Bedouins are always outside and due to the nature of their work, they might not always have the cleanliness of city folk. but i really don't think cleanliness means they should be stigmatized, its just a fact of their lifestyle and jobs.

second one: "slaughtered by the nomads for vainglory and pride" its more important to look at the intention behind the act, not so much the person.

i might be stretching it though

Until recently, Arabs and Somalis used to send their children to the desert to drink milk, and the main reason was because of the spread of diseases in the cities and epidemics, so they used to leave them in the desert far away from epidemics. It is not because the Nomads are better than the urban population that the Nomads do not know anything about Islamic legality. This is what Muslim scholars have agreed upon

100% reer badiyo should be protected, if you look at all the arab countries that integrated into city life, they have always been victims of international parties. i think there is a level of purity in the ideals of a people who are the same 10,000 years ago or 10,000 years into the future.

This is also true for Xeer Badiyo, who are without a doubt the most religious people and have and speak the purest Somali, as well as oral and poetry, because they have not been infected by the liberal invasion and degeneracy that dwells in cities. Inshallah, my goal is to spend a year in Badiyo, which will be rehabilitation and a break from the suffocation of the West.

when it comes to speech, character, and being free from vices and decay, indeed, they excel. They are safer from sins. Presently, both the people in Badiyo and the Bedouins in Arab lands have distanced themselves from confusion, embracing Islam to its fullest extent. As of now, they stand as the most devout, a contrast from the times of the Prophet.

Their robust health and well-defined physique are indeed striking, a result of their diet rich in meat and milk from a young age. The perfection of their teeth, resembling the work of braces, is a testament to their overall well-being. My father, like our forebears, spent his formative years in the Badiyo. He made the move to the city at the age of 12 during Siad Barre's era, pursuing his education in Mogadishu until the outbreak of the civil war at 19. He shared that his unwavering commitment to fasting and Salah commenced at the tender age of 10. His remarkably straight teeth were so well-aligned that my dentist once suspected he had undergone orthodontic treatment. He handsome too might explain why he had three wives, and even to this day, he draws the attention of prospective suitors back home. To add to the intrigue, some of my school teachers used to mistake him for my older brother, a rather amusing situation.

This is not true are not reer Baadiyaha are not religiously educated. There are no universities and religious schools. Most of those who engage in tribal conflicts are nomads because they are ignorant and cruel. This is what Islamic scholars have agreed upon.

This is part of what Islamic scholars have agreed upon about the nomads, that they are more cruel and hypocritical than the people of civilization
1-Ibn Kathir said: Since the people of the desert were harsh and loyal, God did not send a messenger from them. I was deprived of the people of recitation, as he said: And We did not send before you except men from among the people of the towns. {Yusuf: 109}. When that Bedouin gave that gift to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, he returned it himself until he was satisfied; He said: I do not accept a gift except from a Qurashi, a Thaqafi, a Mu'ayyad, or a Dusi. Because they lived in the cities of Mecca, Taif, Medina, and Yemen, they had better morals than the Bedouins. Because of the estrangement in the nature of the Bedouins.

2-And Al-Saadi said: The Bedouins, who are the inhabitants of the desert and prairies, are more infidel and hypocritical than those in the present, who are infidel and hypocritical, for many reasons, including: They are far from knowledge of religious laws, deeds, and rulings; They would rather not know the limits of what God revealed to His Messenger regarding the principles of faith, rulings, commands and prohibitions. Unlike the present, they are closer to knowing the limits of what God has revealed to His Messenger, and because of this knowledge they develop good perceptions and a desire for good, from which they know what those in the desert do not know. They have a gentle nature and submit to the caller that is not found in the desert. They sit with the people of faith and mix with them more than the people of the desert. Therefore, they were more likely to be good than the people of the desert, even though there were infidels and hypocrites in the desert and in the present. In the desert, it is more severe and severe than in the urban area. Among these things is that the Bedouins are more careful with money and more stingy with it.

3-And Al-Mubarakfuri said: His saying: He who lives in the desert is dry. That is, ignorance. God Almighty said: The Bedouins are more disbelieving and hypocritical and more likely not to know the limits of what God has revealed to His Messenger. The judge said: A man is cruel if his heart is hardened and hardened, and he does not live up to the integrity and ties of kinship. This is the norm among the inhabitants of the desert, due to their distance from the people of knowledge and their lack of interaction with people, so their nature becomes like the nature of wild animals.

This is so one sided against the Bedouins so I’ll give another ayah in their favour:

“Yet, there are also Bedouins who believe in God and the Last Day and regard everything they spend [in God's cause] to be means of drawing them closer to God and the Messenger's prayers. It will definitely bring them nearer to God, admitting them to His mercy. God is forgiving and Merciful-to-all” - 9:99

There also seems to be a distinction between Bedouins based on the animals they own:

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The main source of disbelief is in the east. Pride and arrogance are characteristics of the owners of horses and camels, and those bedouins who are busy with their camels and pay no attention to Religion; while modesty and gentleness are the characteristics of the owners of sheep." - Sahih al-Bukhari 3301

I fail to comprehend the relevance of your mention of Bedouins from the desert, particularly in the context of early Islam when it was not widely accepted. Presently, Bedouins are followers of Islam, residing peacefully and devotedly in regions such as Arabia and North Africa.

I find it perplexing that this individual is offering opinions about the historical beliefs of Bedouins during a time when Islam had not yet fully reached them, implying that they were non-believers (kafirs) at that point. My focus is on the present day, specifically 2023, where Bedouins are devout followers of Islam, residing peacefully in various regions.

The Somali civil war occurred between urban dwellers, often referred to as city men and the so-called civilized, and the rebels who were educated, manipulated, and collaborated with non-believers (kafirs). Interestingly, when the conflict commenced, many people fled to rural areas and the countryside to return to a life of tranquility and devoted simplicity, focusing on their faith in Allah.

Were it not the urban, so-called civilized individuals you referred to, attempting to Westernize and reshape Somalia into a liberal state? During that time, women were discouraged from wearing hijab, and men pursued various professions, including music and other activities, whilst the Baadiyo and nomads kept to themselves and away from the degeneracy.

My friend, it is undeniable that nomads and Bedouins in today's world are undoubtedly closer to Allah, and safer from sins, and more devout in their faith, leading lives of tranquility. This stands in stark contrast to the degenerate and liberal influence plaguing the cities. Even Saudi Arabia is not immune to this growing infection.

Are you suggesting that people in rural areas are worse off than those in cities today? Just look at how cities like Mogadishu and Hargeisa are plagued with various fitna. Are you truly telling me that urban residents are safer from sin and more devout in their faith than those living in rural areas? It seems like wishful thinking.

Yes, the people of the cities are peaceful, they do not kill anyone, and they are educated. There are worse things that happen in baadiyo, for example, men and women dancing together and mixing between men and women. Other things happen that you do not know about You will find a 25-year-old man in Hargeisa who has never touched a woman in his life, but you will not find him in the badiyo. Adultery is widespread there because it is an empty land. No one will see you if you are with a girl, not in the cities where there are people everywhere.
I'm talking about what I saw there when I was in the most nomadic region I was like you in the past, I thought they were better, but when you go there and live like one of them, you will know the truth
