We should not respect them in Saudi Arabia. King Abdulaziz, when he got tired of these Bedouins who were fighting every day over the lands, he launched a campaign against them and forced them to live in the cities.I agree, when viewed from a broader historical perspective, both groups lacked formal "citizenship." In European history, the concept of "freehold land" was prevalent, though not universal, until the 1700s. As land ownership became more regulated, being a nomad or Bedouin became crime. and finally with colonialism they forced none-Europeans to accept land ownership laws as a reality.
In my opinion, nomads live a more righteous life, and we should respect their lifestyle.
