you just think they act like a different ethnicity because you're an outsider. you're probably amazed at how this people who are your brothers and sisters would want to leave you (ictiraaf). So you just try and make sense out of it til you conclude the only reason they'd want to leave is because they dont see you as a brother anymore (somalidiid).

but this is wrong on so many levels. Anyone who is a lander knows that no new ethnicity is going to be made. and most if not all landers think of themselves as a somali. this is just like people from djibouti, they see themselves as somali not some new ethnicity!

SL has worked for almost 3 decades and will continue to work. I don't see Somalia providing anything equivalent or better than SL so there's really no point in making assumptions about how they see themselves.
