How is that impressive? Look at how small and irrelevant he Maldives is. They didn't even have to fight anyone when they gt there, lol. I don't think Axum had anything to do with any Ethnicity in Ethiopia/Eritrea since they spoke a different language so this "glorious Axum" fantasy current Habesha's propagate is insignificant to them. Axumites were a different Habesha ethnicity different to the ones that exist today. Dude Axumites were Tigrayit people AKA Tigrinyas and Tigres (in Eritrea). They spoke Ge'ez and Tigrinya and Amxaric are in fact descendants of Ge'ez. They still speak Ge'ez but only in their churches. Just cus Italians don't speak Latin anymore it doens't mean they aren't descendants of Romans. lol. Hararis are a mix of xabashas and a few other groups who developed their own culture over time, it's a different thing.

Well there u go, Tigrayans would come on top. They've founded several empires after Axum and even before it.
