There are good websites including the somalia section of the wikipedia. Two books thay you may find helpful written by westerners who lived among somalis for a period of time are:

The other Book is called "The Law Of The Somalis" and talks about how Somalis had an advanced laws equal if not better to the westerners before even Africa was colonized. He werites in detail the good and the Bad he observed whilst he lived among Somalis. His name is Michael Van Notten.

Here's my dilemma. How can u march a whole army of elephants through a desert? It must've taken at least a couple months. Where did they get the water to make the elephants drink?
