This is so common. My mom cleans my brothers room for him and brings his food to the table for him and it’s all caadi. Meanwhile i clean the whole house, scrub the toilets and plate my own food lol. I don’t mind doing chores obviously since I live in this house rent free I need to contribute too. But why do the boys usually don’t do much? My brother doesn’t know how to use a broom or even clean a window (we are twins)

I’ve noticed this is common amongst my other somali friends too. We need to break this cycle. Every Somali guy and girl should learn how to cook, clean and maintain a house. It’s for your own benefit too. We need to stop babying somali guys.
