For someone who’s born in the Arab world, grew up around them and knows their language and culture yes I can tell you many are subtle racist and colourist but also many are good hearted you have to get to know them be friends with them. Our Arab neighbours used joke about how my mom didn’t look Somali at all and used ask her all time if she’s Yemeni because they think all Somalis dark skinned and tall or when they saw my long hair they couldn’t believe we have soft hair too but if you understand them and their culture you know they don’t mean any harm it’s just curiosity that can come off as racism. My parents lived in the Arab world since 1970’s and it’s impossible to say all of them are racist but the ones who lived in Sweden were weird idk how to explain but it in the Arab world it’s different.
