Why doesn’t Alshabab make a political party and join elections ?

What elections?? There's no legtimate elections or govt in Somalia. What AS needs is to reform itself by getting rid of its ties with AQ and becoming a local islamists movement similar to how Taliban is if they seriously want to topple this state and rule.

They view the current regime as illegitimate, and follow a random Arab in Iraq as their imam. All the somewhat sane AS members have left long ago, all that’s remaining now are dadka jail majnuun ama gabri istahilah
