No way fam . That's more manpower and Yemeni minerals. Plus Yemeni oil in Hadramaut. With the right tools and strategy its incorporation can add more to the economy. Yes in the beginning it will be harsh but the benefits will be exponential

Ethnic Saudi Arabian population: 22.4 million.

If Saudi Arabia annexes Yemen, they would form a minority of the population, whilst Yemenis would be the majority. Why would they want to do that? Especially since Yemen is a poor country without much natural resources.

Afars and Oromos are 2 different ethnicities. Saudis and Yemenis share the same ethnicity. Tribes in Yemen also live on the Saudi side of the border and vice versa.

They have some minor ethnic differences though. North-Central Saudis were the founders of the Arabic language (a Central Semitic language with its closest sibling being Hebrew), while South and Southwest/Gulf Saudis & Yemenis were South Semites (different linguistic category), historically.

Arabic replaced the previous languages of Yemen. People forget this.

So there is a minor ethnic difference between them. But overall they are similar.

They may speak the same language due to Arabization, but prior to Islam they spoke their own South Semitic languages. They have their own independent history, kingdoms, and culture. The notoriously difficult mountainous terrain of Yemen isolated it from most of Saudi Arabia. Majority of Yemenis are farmers, whilst most of Saudis historically were Bedouins.

Yes some Yemeni tribes may live in the Saudi side of the border, and vice versa, but that's the same with Oromos and Somalis.
