Why was Iraq so dumb in the 2003 war

It’s crazy what’s happened to Iraq a system similar to 4.5 is used in Iraq where the Pres is a Kurd, speaker of parliament is a Sunni, and the PM chosen by Iran is Shia. Most of Iraqis weapons are western weapons.

Arabs aren't good at conventional war, if they had ingenuity like the Serbs when they shot down the f-117 they would've prevented an invasion just by scaring off, due to the costs. Iran is more prepared for a conventional war incomparison to arab countries. Kenneth pollack talks about it in his book Armies of sand.

The Ukrainians can't be compared to the Iraqis! The Iraqis were fighting against the world, all the Ukrainians are doing is fighting a weak ass Russian government!

Iraq was very weak by the time the invasion happened. Look at all of the things Iraq went through in the 20 years before the war happened:

• The Iran–Iraq War lasted almost 8 years. The Iraqi military lost between 105,000–500,000 soldiers in this war. Iraq's economy would lose over $500 billion and they gained $130 billion worth of debt from the war
• Then there was the Gulf War where another 20,000–50,000 Iraqi soldiers were killed.
• Then there were the sanctions against Iraq. Iraq got fucked over and couldn't export oil for almost six years, destroying their economy. But when they were allowed to export oil again, they were only allowed to sell oil in order to buy food. They now believe that around 567K children under the age of 5 died because of these sanctions

And there are so many other things I am not even mentioning. Before the Iraqi government was invaded they had been fighting none stop for basically 20 years, and had gone through sanctions for like the 10 years. After going through all that, there was no way the Iraqi government was going to be able to fight back

But look at the first video I linked in my earlier post. It shows how tough the Iraqi civilians were. Idk if there's any group of people that fought like them. Iraqi's are tough people man

Bro idk how people are comparing Ukraine to Iraq. Before the 2003 invasion the Iraqis had basically been fighting nonstop wars since 1980. The wars costed them $100s of Billions, they lost over 500K soldiers, and were put under sanctions for 10 years. And even after the Iraqi government was defeated, the Iraqi people themselves kept fighting back until 2011

Compare that to the Ukrainians who are getting helped by the whole world and are still struggling against Russia who has the whole world against them and has been going through multiple sanctions since 2014. Ukraine has a much weaker opponent and is getting much more help, yet it is still struggling. I support Ukrainians but they are nothing compared to the Iraqis

When Iraq fought Iran in the 80s they had a population of 17 million, compared to Iran's population of 50 million. Iraqis are one of the only people in the Middle East with the heart to fight wars. If Iraq wasn't overthrown, none of these Arab countries would be getting xooged the way that they are now
