Bunow didn't help himself as well as he just focussed on filling his pockets but these two families are a cancer for Garissa county. Now, Nadiif will be threatened as well. If he doesn't become a puppet for them as well, they will sabotage his government also.

Ree Barrow, the same family that pay thugs to sabotage garissa water pipes at night just to ruin the image of the governor. They did it to Nadiif during his last tenure and did it to Bunow. They are prepared to make a whole city go without water just to score political points. Of course I am against them. Waa a cancer. They are the biggest land owners in garissa city. They own the majority of the plots in the city centre. They have all the money in the world, they could build their city and make it the most beautiful in East Africa, but look at it today. It's mediocre but they can and should do much better. Most of their plots in the town centre are single story shacks with corrugated iron roofs, plots that cost millions of shillings. They are a cancer.

As for Suldaanka, then ka xishoo. We might disagree with his positions but he is 100% right when it comes to Garissa politics. Ree Barrow need to have their wings clipped and the governor seat should be a rotational hagbad. The current system just breeds unnecessary hatred between cousins. He is ree Guuleed (they hold the sultan seat of Abudwaq and are the original owners of Garissa city, all other OG clans and Abudwaq subs are immigrants to the city).

I had thought the Kenyan electoral body would be done with declaring the presidential results by now. It seems like I had overestimated Kenya's ability to carry out a smooth credible election process.

From the publicly available raw figures now it seems likely that Ruto is the winner by a slim margin. Raila Odinga was Uhuru's choice for his successor, having fallen out with his deputy Mr.Ruto in their second term in office. It now seems the outgoing government of Uhuru is finding it hard to accept this defeat.

Uhuru together with his allied faction of billionaire elites used state machinery and resources to campaign for their preferred candidate Mr. Odinga. It will be interesting to see how the outgoing govt of Uhuru will handle a likely Ruto win.

Tomorrow is the deadline for the declaration of the new president elect. Its sure going to be an interesting next 24 hours. Let's wait and see what unfolds.
