Am from Ottawa it’s a bilingual city so it’s mainly Arabs, Somalis and a cluster of west Africans such as Burundian, Senegalese, Malian, a lot of HAITIANS, Congolese etc… Jamaican resides mostly in Toronto so I think the fetishization is happening there since there’s a lot of Somalis and Habesha( the Habesha community from what I was told is bigger than the Somali community). The 'black' community in the Netherlands is diverse but dominated by new world blacks (Dutch Antilles). It's like what the UK was like before the dark skin/African pride resurgence crossed over from America. Mixed raced/light skin people are the cream of the crop. Madow women of any part of the continent are invisible.

More or less the same, yes. Before Twitter gave (at least non-Somali) Africans confidence. In Holland, you're far less likely to see an Aruban man marry a dark skin (or any) African woman. The Netherlands is dead, and Dutch twitter is moist so they often latch onto American or UK Twitter, which is where I suspect you're seeing the anti-Somali tweets coming from Africans. From my personal experience, Africans (and I mean specifically Africans) have been absolutely nothing but blessed to one another. Somalis are pretty flexible and hang with everything except cadaans. African, Caribbean, North African, etc. Race beef is not as big of a deal as it is in the UK. It's mostly broadly between North Africans and Black people.
