I Will never lose hope in reviving of Somalia I remember the days when we couldn't even afford electricity and government offices were using faynuus instead.

A $100 million could be the start of a multibillion dollar aviation project spanning decades, with new terminals, runways, hubs and hotels added overtime. It would be great if the current airport became a military airport for the Somali Air Force and a future Somali Police Air Unit, named Asli Hassan Abade Airport, while the new one is named Aden Adde International. This would allow the government to claim and designate all surrounding areas as critical to national security and compensate its landowners with new land, preferably further down the coast or inland.
At-least a forward thinking government would be doing this, and most likely this is what would have been a reality today if 91’ didn’t happen. Somalia sits on the crossroads of three continents, it could 10X the amount of passengers annually by establishing a state of the art network of airports and push Somali Airlines as a major regional carrier.
