I understand your frustration but canuck is right, you manufacture nothing, you have no army to protect your borders and your two neighbouring countries have been holding your head into the ground like an ostrich never wanting you to see any kind of sun light.
Things are changing now due to geopolitics, Turkey is training our troops, she has proven herself as you can see, Qatar is her ally if she goes to P/land same will happen there, both countries are friendly with Farmaajo who is trying to establish a central government, the deal may already be there between them and we just don't know, so don't count that out.
I am not sure about UAE in S/land but you see for yourself our soldiers being trained both at home and abroad in Turkey, canuck is right, we were on the verge of being colonised by Xabashis, the first African nation to be colonised by another in the history of Africa, there is no shame worse then this.
I would at least be able to stomach it if she was a super power and wealthy, but she is as poor as you funded by China, this is a great opportunity to get back to where we once were, we are still in the Arab league with two rival Arab's competing for glory, it's a great time and opportunity for us to rebuilt and reclaim our former glory.

If we must have bases, it should be from countries that are actual military powers and have actual professional armies, like Turkey. Khaleej countries are neither. They don't have much to offer besides money. Turkey can at least provide proper training, know how and technology to the SNA. I would even take Iranian bases before Gulf bases. Arab armies are shit and don't know how to fight or organize, Somalia will just be getting itself into trouble allowing these people to build bases.

The Turkish base will be a Military Training and Education center for the SNA. That I'll accept as Turkey are the 2nd largest military in NATO and they have good expertise and equipment.
But straight up military bases that are to serve other foreign militaries I will object to any time. No matter where they'll be in Somalia. Especially Gulf bases. They know only how to use other people, they'll never cooperate with anybody besides themselves.

I agree sxb, military schools opened by foreign military powers, like USA, Russia, UK e.g to train our military would be beneficial for our nation. However, foreign military bases should not be allowed, I'd hate to see Somalia being used as a pawn in the greater scheme of things.
Don't worry I will make sure to open travel agency beside each base and book direct weekend trips for the soldiers to addisbaba "the Bangkok of east Africa "

Khaleej will spend millions of dollars on state of the art US equipment. Everything they will bring to Berbera will be brand new and bought since they can't build shit themselves. After the contract is over all of the infrastructure will be turned over to the SL government.
The SL military doesn't need military training from UAE. It is already able to defend itself successfully.
