other census. Remember the census isnt accurate all the time. Either way Puntland population is still low.

I have been open minded remember when I used to say they should be relocated to Tanzania? Well I changed my mind since I felt its extremely wrong to relocate a demographic that has been in Somalia for centuries and lived amongst them. However Puntland my dear is very low in population wise. There are other parts in Somalia such as Jubbaland they can go to since majority of their people are there and they are doing very well there. They have the rights to remain in Southern Somalia since they been there for centuries. But Puntland is a different region there has no ties with bantu somalis from the south.

They used to have Bantu slaves in Puntland I’m pretty sure.

I don’t speak for Reer Puntland since I’m not from there and it’s not my place to speak for them.


There are IDPs all over southern Somalia there’s no where else for some to go.

They opened their arms to a group of people who supposedly have no relationship to whilst simultaneously suffering themselves that’s admirable.

Puntland looks beautiful. It definatley has potential to be a booming tourist region.But can someone tell me why am I seeing so many non ethnic Somalis in Puntland?? i thought for a second it was a foreign country. Are we sure this isn't Senegal? anyways I like how he was respectful to the locals.

Not really so much land is under AS .Puntland is Somalia though I’m not reer Puntland nor do I have any ties to the land specifically.But I am Yknow human and I don’t think it’s good to displace already displaced people. I gotta applaud SSC we might have our differences but at least they dont have non ethnic Somalis in their territory. If they do fully succeed from Somaliland than I think they should request for referendum. @Pastoralist

I'm happy they are doing well and they are safe. But the government need to also look for other region in southern Somalia that is safe for their idp to be relocated to. Puntland don't have the full capacity or resources to keep the idp going.

according to this https://data.unhcr.org/en/situations/cccm_somalia , The state in Somalia called Somaliland has a higher ratio of IDPs, 2mill populatation (MAX and im being generous) I'm not talking about the SSC regions I've estimated the total amount of IDPs in those regions to be 214000. Would you say you don't have the resources or full capacity to keep them going too?
