It stems from jealousy, they live in 40 degree desert with barely any trees let alone vegetation. “Fact” I just pulled out of my ass: most residents of Bosaso leave the city and move inland as soon as summer comes for fear of their lives. Name anywhere but puntland that has to go through this anywhere in east Africa

more people move into Bosaso then out, that’s a fact. Especially MJs who’ve lived xamar, we made the horrible mistake and developed your city out of somalinimo, just for the “unuka leh” bandits to attack defensless puntites. We’ve came back to PL and decided to develop it thankfully something we should’ve done from the jump.

now that the DDS-Galdogob-Gaalkayo-Garacad corridor is nearing completion it’ll only lengthen the development gap from PL and the south.

admit that every single city outside Xamar is a 4th world shithole. Dhusomareeb? beledweyne?xata even jowhar which is a couple hour drive from the capital.

I don’t give a shit about puntland. I only mentioned the place because the desert dwellers seem to be the most opinionated on this
Butthurt. It's natural to dam a river, for economic development and food that would be supplied to our region. The world doesn't revolve around a bunch of people that can't even free their land from ragtag Shabaab.

Berbera is hotter than Bosaso and people leave for the summer months as well. It's not a big deal.

The corridor from Garacad will reach all the way to Kebri Dahar from which fruits and vegetables will be supplied from Godey in the Jubba basin. This mooryaan is spazzing because you are developing your lands.

Every city in the gulf of aden and red sea are like that or worse, so Berbera and Djibouti also have the same climate, so it's not something special to Bosaso.

Oh please like cagdheer even farm. Bahgherri right next to the shabelle river buy produce off Gugundhabe farmers in Mustaxiil. The cagdheer mind hasn’t advanced to farming level yet
There is more agricultural output in Somali Region then Somalia Italiana.

That is because Samaales are incompetent and cant allow for farmers to thrive due to isbaaro. Even if there was no dam your farmlands are still going extinct due to over taxation.
If it takes 10 dams then construct those to secure your people's future, what the hell is wrong with these people? They think they are owed something.

The boy actually said we are building infrastructure because of Darood tribalism. Probably the most Hawiye thing ive ever heard.

take notes from Bosaso, a city that has Warsangeli, Ali Saleeban MJ, Dishiishe, other daroods (OG and MX)
It isn’t like the mjs say Bosaso unuka leh and shieettt, the mayor isn’t even MJ dude lmaoo.

The Qardho mayor is Raxanweyn but no, @Prince of HS said Daroods despise D/M.

abgaal barely control xamar now, like only 5 xafaads out of 17. As minorities are more marginalized it’ll only be a backfire in the future.

I sometimes shit on unuka leh, but I’m for it now.

There’s a difference, Berbera is actual Jahanam. Yeah I guess Bosaso is hot a couple days in the summer, but it isn’t like there migrating into different regions cuz of it like Illegal immigrants in Mexico.

Bosaso is very hot in the summer but the mountains near the city are colder, even EAU campus which is 5 km from the city has a nicer weather.

I also know that you can't free your land from Shabaab 10 miles outside Mogadishu but you are worried about people developing their land. The most Hutu set of priorities. It couldn't be more Hutu situation if you tried.

@convincation in 2013 at the height of Ethiopian development this was the tone the Xabashi officials were singing.
demographic water scarcities. The amount of water that Ethiopia has planned to divert to irrigation development, in the case of the Shabelle, is much more than what is available in Somalia. Somalia has expressed their need and capacity to absorb all readily useable water resources for existing and future irrigation in the Shabelle [15]. A small increase in consumptive of the Shabelle in Ethiopia will greatly affect not only future demands but also the existing water uses. According to Ethiopia master plans, large amount of water will be utilized for irrigation. Ethiopia has literally stated that the demand will become competitive and conflict will begin to rise [10]. With its geographical position of upstream, Ethiopia threatened to use first-come first-served principle. Somalia may then claim priority over Ethiopia by applying first-in-time first-in-right within prior appropriation principle. Somalia is in deep concern over the sensitivity of the river systems, as any small increase in consumptive use of the rivers in Ethiopia will compromise not only Somalia’s future uses but also their existing irrigation schemes. Considering the existing and proposed water development projects and taking into account the limited amount of the rivers’ water resources, the sum all demands are likely to exceed available supplies, it is certain that there is a looming water conflict between riparian states.
70% of the water and electricity will be used in Oromia and Oromo farms. So sad.

You don't keep up with developments in the Somali Region do you?

The Somali Region produced 190,000 tons (1,726,438 quintals) of grains in the Meher (Deyr) season of 2019/2020. All of Somalia, including Somaliland, produced 188,000 tons of cereals in 2019 for both seasons, Gu and Deyr. This 188,000 figure was slightly below the average of 209,000 tons that all of Somalia produces each yea

The Somali Region overtook Somalia long ago in agricultural production.
Somalia's agriculture has been in freefall since the mid 1980s.

one of the smartest things @TekNiKo said before regarding Puntland forcing themselves to be agricultural and still failing lol.

"Lol the water consumption without a natural water resource shall further drain your already depleted underground water reservoirs. You arent Israel or Saudi which can sustain this with billion dollar desalinization plants. This is simply unsustainable and may severely impact your only drinking water source what an ill advised venture"

As I said, Allah simply did not bless these individuals with good land no matter how hard they try. It even hurts my eyes looking at how bright and dry puntland is on Google earth and some users want to convince us the land that doesn't even have 5 patches of grass feeds the south :pachah1:

Most of that was produced in Fafan zone, places like the Awbarre woreda, Jigjiga woreda hold most of DDSI farms and they don't use Shabelle river and what is produced in that region is sold to Djibouti and Hargeisa. After fafan zone it is Mustaxil that boasts most farms.

50%of the Farm land in DDSI is in Fafan zone and over 60% of the agricultural output is from there. @convincation I always forget that folks in the NorthWest DDSI are majority farmers.

I was waiting to respond to this. What Marehan live in Bosaso? You guys cannot help but try to claim everything like parasitic leeches. First it was Kismaayo, now you think you can claim Bosaso? There are more Pakistanis in Bosaso than there are Marehan and even if you lived there in the 1000s, you will never be allowed to claim it.
