Anyone else notice old gen Arabian monarchs the Saudi one in particular resembled some Somalis.. the resemblance is uncanny especially the narrow face

Khaleejis look more Pakistani and North Indians than anyone else. We need to look into that because there must be a connection.

I think the reason no one talks about it is because Arabs look down and don’t want to associate with them.
Pure Arabian look is completely different from Indians.. they’re less hairy, finer/ thinner features. Their pure look is becoming uncommon tho

Some of the fine original Somali stock: Camey, Abu Xadra & Cashara.

It's crazy how the UAE is only 11% local/Emirati Arabs & ~15% other Arabs. The rest being Non-Arabs [40% being South Asian].

You're blind.
Distinguishing the difference between Khaleejis and Pakistanis can be difficult if they all wear regular clothing.

Unlike other Arabs where you can tell they’re Arabs by just looking at them.

Around 2010, I asked an international student if he was a Pakistani (we were having a convo), he gave me the “look” and said he was Saudi then never talked to me again after that. Had I said something else, he would give me a smile and say “yeah we shared history….”.

Appearance don’t lie. It’s the same with Orientals, Slavs, Horners etc when they were all the same at point in history before splitting into different tribes and ethnic groups and made shit up to distance themselves away for political/feudal reasons.

I said North Indians. If they wear the kandoorah, the average person wouldn’t tell the difference and would fall for it.

Arabians look nothing like Northern Indians:

Not the typical Indians we see everyday. I’m talking about those light skinned ones with distinct features that look identical to Khaleejis. Wherever they’re from (i’m sure there’s a name for it), you know what i’m talking about.

Anyway, I see you have not mentioned Pakistanis so you don’t seem to disagree with me. :p

Pakis included, mate. Pakis and North Indians look exactly the same so there’s no real need to mention them.

Interesting I thought they practiced closed tribal endogamy.. well that definitely explains the phenotypic differences in old/ new gen.
Not when it comes to paternal societies, a fair amount of female Somalis have Arabian haplogroups.

You know what, I saw a DNA breakdown chart that said that on average, Hawiye have more of the Sub-Saharan African DNA than other Somalis, not by a large margin, but still. I think Central Somalia Hawiye.
What’s the margin? Also, it’s difficult to assess since the South is very diverse and you have some who are mixed more so than others. In old DNA breakdowns I saw reer NFD having more SSA DNA.

Uncanny resmab

you're probably right! Are WR more secluded/ nomadic in nature?

Not all of Warsangeli are nomadic, i would say most are still but not that secluded but we have farmers, nomads and reer magaal.

The ones in North Sanaag are farmers
In between are reer magaal
The ones in the South Sanaag are mostly nomads
