If a union means unstoppable immigration, then we're safer with the Arabs. Technically they've been migrating to Somalia for a very long time and trading with us.
Also, they don't fetishise Somali women like Madows do and they stick to their own circles. Somali women would feel more comfortable.

True, we should aim to rebuild but getting there wouid require some allies and trading partners etc.. We should work with anyone who would further our interests.

They cant wrap their heads around Somalis wanting to be Somali. They expect us to be grovelling at their feet wanting to be Arab.

Its the same reason when Somalia catches some heat online the goto response is always “Somalia is in shambles why is your ego so big”.

They don’t understand the somali personality. Even when the british came they were surprised that somalis didn’t worship them as gods but thought of them as lesser. Even in the face of a world spanning empire the Somali does not think of himself as lesser.

Too all Somalis reading this thread. Don't be so submissive that you feel that you must choose to submit to one or the other foriegn organisations. Somalis deserve to carve out a place for themselves ruled by Somali culture, language and values. Foreigners have no place to decide what goes on in Somaliweyn.

Look at an ethnic map of east Africa.
Somalis are destined to rule the region, our ancestors have already done their part and conquered the peninsular and carved us out a large land that somalis have.

We should finish the job, it's the destiny of Somalis to conquer east Africa. Tribe of Samaale & Sab will expand to all the green pastures Inshallah. Started out in the shithole desert in somaliland now we taking the green lands of Kenya mashallah.

Don't freeload on your ancestors achievements and take the land they conquered for granted. Just because I decided one union was more preferable than the other doesn’t mean i would still want it to happen. Unless the mahdi or some other great islamic figure that tries to unite the muslim world. Then it would be a honor. However i totally reject arab nationalism.
