I'm currently taking a break from Somalispot but some weird thing happened that I can't openly tell my therapist so..
I shared before my first out-of-body experience. I woke up to use the washroom, and it was about 20 minutes before Fajr. I decided to stay awake for prayer because I knew I would miss it if I went back to sleep. My room was cold, so I wrapped myself in a blanket and sat on my bed, dozing off. Next thing I knew, I was floating above my ceiling, looking down at my body lying on the bed. I panicked and tried to return to my body, but there was a strong force pushing me upwards. No matter what I did, I couldn't descend; I was bouncing off the ceiling. I could even see my sister sleeping. I attempted to scream and call out for my hoyo, but my voice was muffled. After what felt like an eternity, I returned to my body. This incident scared me the first time I experienced it.
It happened again recently, but this time I was aware of it, so I wasn't as scared. I managed to fly out of my room without panicking and went to the kitchen and living room area. I took note of how the dishes were set up to confirm it wasn't a hallucination. While I was looking around, a very tall, skinny, dark shadow began approaching me. My first instinct was to return to my body. This happened so quickly, almost like I teleported back to my room. I don't know exactly, but this time I felt a bit more intentional and in control.
Anyway, it seems I might be a natural at astral projection. Some psychics and magicians train for years to achieve this ability. I wonder why I am able to do this. I've noticed it usually happens when my imaan is at its highest. I've been praying more, doing a lot of istighfar, and recently stopped listening to music or wasting time binge watching.
I'm definitely terrified when it happens, but I also feel like I have some sort of superpower. And no, I've NEVER taken any drugs in my life. Could this be the onset of a mental illness? Perhaps there's a tumor in my brain, or maybe it's a self-fulfilling prophecy?
I haven't found a lot of Islamic viewpoints on this topic. The closest I found was Isra wal Miraj, but Muslim scholars differ in their opinions. Some say that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was physically transported, while others speculate that only his soul ascended to the heavens.

It looked like a shadow, which is weird coz the lights were off but I could still see its figure a head, hands and legs and was getting closer causing me to bolt..

I won't have believe this is possible until it happened..
I just fulfil my fardh prayers on time, do the morning and evening duas from Husnul Muslim book and occasionally pray tahajjud and fast.
One thing I'm currently proud of in terms of my spiritual progress is, whenever I'm doing mundane work with my hands that doesnt require me to think, I do lots of dhikr. Nothing complicated, just astaghfirllah, subhanallah, walhamdullilah. But it now comes so naturally to me so much so that I say them even in my sleep according to family and friends!

I was standing looking down asking myself why can’t I move? wallahi it felt like I was stuck in NOWHERE, The only thing I could see, feel or remember is just my body standing. What I experienced was dissociation I believe.
