There's been a huge influx in UK too like visibly after the government loosed student visa requirements but it's not as big as a focus like in Canada.
They have really tightened the rules now after falling so far down in opinion polling. Everyone is mad, including their biggest supporters and young people.

But it's not possible to deport all of them that will look bad and they are a huge labor force.
They'll leave on their own. Many Pajeets here who have authorization and permits to work are not being paid minimum wage or near the wage they're supposed to be paid. The ones whose status expired will be paid even less. It's hard to be paid under the table here and survive. Their main motivation was to bring their families here with their permanent residency recruiters lied to them about. Actually, it wont look bad to deport them. Canadians of all backgrounds and views want them gone.
