Of course harti lands are empty, their just 55 wells abdiweli gaas implemented, 15 dams, just so he can just waste the water and let it just spill, after-all their is no people out here, no livestock that need the water, we just building all these water infrastructure for no people according to @Factz

That nigga Facts is trolling, just laugh when you hear trolls, he knows the truth but wanna just somalispot bashaal. By the way Hargeisa isn't that much larger then Bosaso. It's only 20k difference. Bosaso is around 60k and hargeisa 80k and Bosaso is catching up niyahow because it is the fastest growing city in Somalia plus we actually have a rural nomadic population to feed our cities numbers, what the hell does isaaq have when we know their is no rural population and if there was we would see much more water infrastructure then a single dam. When your economy is livestock based, how isn't a priority to do water wells yet he said water wells isn't important to his region because other things hold more priority yet livestock is his no 1 priority GDP wise, it's what is being exported from his port and what he collects taxation on.

But this asshole responds, water infrastructure don't matter, water matters to livestock u wack job or they die of thirst. He doesn't want to admit he has no rural nomads left anymore and depends on ogaden nomads shipping their camels through berbera not Isaaq and I think ogaden will stop going through Berbera with Turdibi corridor opening up business access between Puntland and DDSI. Imagine the pain inflicted on SL if that happens.

Showing a small bad area in Hargeisa and comparing it to the best area of Garowe is really foolish.

@Factz @DR OSMAN The SL region should be investing in Berbera it is weird that Beled Xaawo is larger. Normal corruption.

You don't need to measure the whole area. In maths if you know the vertical and horizontal length, you just multiply length by width to get the area. Then measure 100 meter by 100 meter and count how many houses and multiply that by 10 so you know how many houses per each kilometer. This will give you a rough estimate that you can multiply the number of houses per kilometer over the area size.

But take the number of houses with a grain of salt, you need to account for density. Area is useless. You can have 1000 homes over a large area and 2000 homes in a smaller area if it doesn't sprawl or have un-necessary space wastage, you feel me? Density is critical and land area is critical.

That's why I feel Bosaso may indeed be bigger then Hargeisa if we account for density. Hargeisa has a larger area no doubt 42 kilometers vs Bosaso 16 kilometer. But what if I can fit more homes in my 16 kilometer and he fits less homes in 42 kilometer? The amount of space wasted between homes can mean alot in calculation you can average out that land waste and figure out how many homes that equal to deduct from hargeisa final count because each wasted space will provide a figure say you waste 200 meters in between houses, we can add up 200 meters over 42 kilometers and deduct that from your house final count.

What I mean is that Berbera is a port town so it should attract investment and ofcourse city growth.

Berbera is a shame what happened to it. Big port but it lacks a large customer base, that's why you see no dhows, no food stuff, materials, etc, one livestock ship for ogaden clientele basically. Bosaso is a small port but it has way too many customers and diversifies into livestock and commercial goods and materials not just for Puntland but even up untill Burco and Erigavo to Hiiran and mudug, nugal, sool, sanaag, bari. Infrastructure is better in Berbera the siyad govt actually finished the job for them, Bosaso was half complete till hawiye chimped out on the nation.

They say Bosaso golden days are coming to an end though as people are leaving now and with that loser PAUL in charge, everyone has fled to Mogadishu.

There is a difference between city size and city desnsity size. Berbera is a big city and I don't think the map is honest. Do you know how amazing Berbera is?

With the UAE development through Berbera. Berbera is going to be the richest port in EA and will make Somaliland a wealthy nation.

Here are some of the Berbera developments. :banderas:

Berbera seaport will be modernized.

@Factz If this is true then your folks could make an agreement with Reer Gedo. Easy access to the port in exchange for access to the Juba River you help us with farming development and take a percentage of the harvest. We have instability across the border with Kenya which hinders Beled Xaawo from becoming a dry port.

Berbera ROADS are good? Say Berbera ROAD, it's a single road you posted, don't make it into a plural as if all Berbera has roads like that. That was one decent road, the rest are pig-shit. Anyways the real road leader is Puntland with El dahir and Erigavo road project happening, plus garowe and galkacyo is still on see below

Looks like I see the Asphalt drums also, their heading into phase two, nice asphalt being poured on that beautiful jay foundation.

Don't forget JPLG road projects in Puntland cities and towns, it's massive, the amount of road work that has been done within the towns of Puntland has been amazing and I can actually see the difference on google earth when I check the amount of roads in Bosaso-Galkacyo-Garowe-Qardho, it looks far more better then other somali cities that's for sure in terms of road.

Somaliland is dead with roads @Factz and you know it, go on google earth and check it yourself how many dirt roads exist compared to paved roads. I'll check out where the burco to erigavo road is heading, they talk so much faan but don't know google earth exposes all their lies.

Yeah google earth Berbera Port, forget @Factz nonsensical pictures. We can see what Berbera Port looks like in 2018 right now only a month ago, it's always a dead port that place and nothing happening in terms of customers, I wonder where they get this large budget from they claim, it surely aint that berbera port and it surely aint your population either who are not working and in poverty and you have a smaller population then majerten so you should be less wealthier all around.

Somaliland has many fertile regions like Gabiley district, southeast Awdal, west Hargeisa, Odweyne district, Sheikh mountains and Sanaag highlands. Some are actually cultivated and some are being cultivated as we speak. @DR OSMAN is a big time hater lol, ignore him.

In the coming future, Berbera will take over and I wouldn't mind expanding our business and network as far as Jubbaland.

Damn Paul of Bosaso wat an asshole, he killed our port. I was looking back at years gone by in a boom period and the amount of traffic we have now is similar to berbera wallahi, that's shocking stuff, we used to be jam packed with dhows, livestock vessels, and so forth. Now it's just one livestock vessel and a few number of dhows, thanks to paul. The clientele left and are probably using that 'make shift' port they built remember when Paul said you can't use Bosaso port anymore to the guy who wanted to enter the port with his products that was left stuck in sea? they responded by creating that make shift port so he can dock down.

Bosaso port has been a nightmare, it's all under the table shady deals going on. Nothing presented to the honorable parliament to review the terms and conditions and what the deal is even about, start times, how it's going to affect our current economic environment, how it will effect our clientele, the city in general, when is going to be completed, how is it going to be monitored, who will monitor it. You know the good old majerten eyes in parliament needed to review this but president gas hasn't even brought before them.

We have a problem of being far from ports. Kismayo is 2 days drive away from Gedo.
Kismayo is 24 hours drive from Xamar.
Caabudwaaq is far from Bosaso.
Our solution is to strike a deal for cheap imports in exchange for natural resources. Unfortunately we are too Geeljire we need to farm more. Look at Baardheere and then Afgooye from Google Maps compare the number of farms. Our southern Gedo is the greenest part and it is mainly pastoralists lmao.

No offence sade boy and yes I will address you as sade because you don't seem to be an individual with his own views, your just spewing sade crap all the time so your name is sade from now on. I wish Sade united among itself and build it's region. There is no reason abuudwak doesn't develop, it's peaceful and no different to Puntland or Somaliland but it's still far from developing. Gedo is pretty hectic so over there focus on restoring unity and political settlement among the SADE so you can move towards development.

Your to busy trying to ball-bust kab iyo lax your forgetting to take care of your own well being.

Whenever we debate topics like this, it is always nice to present your data and measurements to the forum. not just take my word for it. so i took to google earth to check if @DR OSMAN assertions are true. folks i present the facts to you, with aerial shots of both Hargeisa and Bosaso from an eye altitude of ~ 14 kilometers, all aerial shots are dated 2018.

Bosaso measures at it is longest at around 6.7 kilometers; from the tip of the port to the furthest building down south, in terms of width it doesn't come close to hargeisa at all so i ignored altogether

Screenshot (62).png

While hargeisa on the other hand measures at it is longest in both length and width in terms of last buildings either side at 10 kilometers.

Screenshot (68).png
Screenshot (69).png

please don't take my word for it but you can verify these shots yourself with google earth. to me it seems like Bosaso is more like a district of hargeisa rather than a rival. LOL
